کتنی بار ایسا ہوا ہے کہ آپ نے فیس بک یا انسٹا گرام پر کوئی پوسٹ شئیر کی ہو اور آپ کی وہ پوسٹ ہٹا دی گئی ہو؟ یقیناً ہم میں سے اکثر کے ساتھ کبھی نہ کبھی ایسا ضرور ہوا ہے۔ یوں تو یہ شکایات سننے کے لیے فیس بک کا اپنا نظام موجود ہے لیکن ہر کوئی اِس سسٹم سے مطمئن نظر نہیں آتا۔
فیس بک پر کونسا مواد رہنے دیا جائے اور کونسا ہٹایا جائے اِس بارے میں بحث نہ صرف متنازعہ بلکہ پیچیدہ بھی ہے۔ لیکن اب ان مسائل سے نمٹنے کے لیے فیس بک نے ایک ایسا نظام بنانے کا ارادہ کیا ہے جو ادارے کی انتظامیہ سے بھی بالاتر ہو گا۔
یہ آزاد بورڈ جسے کچھ لوگ ’فیس بک سپریم کورٹ‘ کا نام دے رہے ہیں فیس بک اور اس کے بانی اور چیف ایگزیکٹو مارک زکربرگ کے فیصلوں کو رد کرنے کی طاقت رکھتا ہے۔
اسے ’کانٹینٹ اوورسائٹ بورڈ‘ کا نام دیا گیا ہے جس کے ابتدائی 20 ممبران میں ڈیجیٹل حقوق کی سرگرم پاکستانی کارکن نگہت داد بھی شامل ہیں۔

How many times have you Shared a post on facebook or instagram and removed that post? Of course, it must have happened to most of us sometimes. So facebook has its own system to listen to these complaints, but not everyone looks satisfied with this system.
The discussion about which content should be left on facebook and which should be removed is not only controversial but also complicated. But now in order to deal with these issues, facebook has planned to create a system that will be beyond the administration of the organization.
This independent board that some people are naming the 'facebook Supreme Court' has the power to reject the decisions of facebook and its founder and chief executive mark zuckerberg.
It is named 'contant oversite board' with its initial 20 members including nighat daad, a digital rights activist.
